Maple Leaf Valet Tray

The Maple Leaf Tray is a small leather catch-all inspired by our home here in Carthage, Missouri—the Maple Leaf City. Cut from a single piece of leather in the shape of a maple leaf, the tray is hand-stitched along several carefully placed cuts. As the stitches draw the leaf inward, they naturally pull it into a shallow bowl, creating a permanent shape that is as functional as it is distinctive.

It makes a particularly good home for jewelry, watches, coins, or other small treasures that tend to collect on a nightstand or dresser. It can also simply serve as a decorative piece, especially when made from leather in the rich colors and textures that feel right at home in the fall.

Each tray is hand-stitched and made from finished leather selected for enough body to hold its shape while remaining soft and pleasant to the touch. Leather selection varies, and small differences in color, texture, and shape are part of what makes each one unique. Some are made from larger pieces of leather, while others make use of the unusual shapes left behind from other projects.
